ASQ Tucson Old Pueblo Section (TOPS)
is affiliated with the American Society for Quality as Section 0707. ASQ is the leading quality improvement organization in the United States, with more than 130,000 individual and 1,000 sustaining members worldwide.

A not-for-profit professional association headquartered in Milwaukee, WI, ASQ carries out a variety of professional, educational, and informational programs. ASQ's vision is to be the world's recognized champion and leading authority on all issues related to quality.

ASQ was founded in 1946 with the merger of several local quality societies. These groups were formed to share information about statistical quality control after classes on that subject were held during World War II to improve and maintain the quality of defense materials. Most of the quality methods now used throughout the world--including statistical process control, quality cost measurement and control, total quality management, failure analysis, and zero defects--were initiated by ASQ members.

ASQ's mission is to facilitate continuous improvement and increased customer satisfaction by identifying, communicating, and promoting the use of quality principles, concepts, and technology; and thereby be recognized throughout the world as the leading authority on and champion for quality. For more information, call 800-248-1946 (USA, Canada, and Mexico) or (414) 272-8575.
